COPAN
At the heart of Brazil stands Copan, Latin America’s largest residential building, masterfully designed by Oscar Niemeyer. It represents a microcosm of Brazil, embodying both its beauty and its challenges. Directed by Copan resident Carine Wallauer, the documentary delves into the complexities of coexisting in such a diverse space, highlighting the vastly different realities within its walls. Collaborating closely with the director, the goal was to portray a raw and unfiltered Brazil—not the vibrant, glittering one, but the politically polarized nation it has become. The lettering draws inspiration from an iconic ground floor sign, while the overall identity reflects the bureaucratic files that symbolize Copan’s current state.
